What happened
During an approach to Tehran-Mehrabad Airport, a four-engine airplane went down in the vicinity of Kahrizak, situated approximately 20 kilometers south of the airfield. The aircraft was in its descent phase when the accident occurred under undetermined conditions. The impact resulted in the deaths of all 80 occupants on board, including several high-ranking military officials and the Iranian Minister of Defense.
