The Accident
A four-engine airplane crashed while flying at low height in a wooded area approximately 13 kilometers west of Chapais. The aircraft was on a search-and-rescue (SAR) operation for a missing helicopter, having been dispatched from Trenton.
Casualties
Eight crew members were killed in the accident, and two others sustained serious injuries.
