Flight and Incident
The aircraft was operating a flight from Kish Island to Tehran with an intermediate stop at Isfahan. Shortly after takeoff from Isfahan-Shahid Beheshti Airport, while climbing to an altitude of 2,000 feet, the crew reported pressurization problems. Air traffic control cleared the aircraft to return for an emergency landing.
Accident Sequence
Five minutes after departure, the aircraft went out of control and crashed a few kilometers from the airport. All 12 occupants on board were killed. Among the deceased was General Mansour Sattari, the Chief of the Iranian Air Force.
