What happened
An aircraft was performing a scheduled flight originating from Kish Island, with a planned stopover in Isfahan, before continuing to Tehran. During the departure from Isfahan-Shahid Beheshti Airport, the aircraft began its ascent and reached an altitude of approximately 2,000 feet. At this stage of the flight, the crew notified air traffic control regarding difficulties with the aircraft's pressurization. In response to this emergency, the flight was authorized to perform an immediate return to the airport.
Approximately five minutes after the initial takeoff, the aircraft lost control and impacted the ground a short distance from the airfield. The accident resulted in 12 fatalities, with no survivors reported among the occupants.
Findings
Following the departure from Isfahan, the crew identified pressurization problems as the primary issue necessitating the emergency descent and return attempt.
