On August 26, 2017, an An-2 aircraft, registration RA-33036, was performing aerial survey flights over the forest lands of the KGKU "Yeniseisk Forestry." The flight was part of a contract between LLC AK "Phoenix" and the KGAU "Forest Fire Center." The crew, consisting of a captain and a second pilot, operated under a flight plan that included a route from Yeniseisk aerodrome to section No. 19.2 and back.
Prior to departure, the captain received meteorological information from the Yeniseisk aerodrome meteorologist. Pre-flight preparations were conducted one hour before takeoff. Following a pre-flight inspection and an incomplete engine run where power plant parameters appeared normal, the aircraft took off at 09:55. The aircraft was loaded with 540 kg of fuel.
Due to the absence of a medical worker at the departure airfield, the captain exercised the authority to permit the crew to fly without a formal pre-flight medical examination, in accordance with established regulations. There were no injuries or fatalities reported during the event.
