What happened
During a scheduled local training mission, an aircraft experienced an incident that led to a crash landing at Utsunomiya Airport. The flight was being conducted as part of a routine training program when the descent ended in contact with the ground.
Despite the impact, the crew members on board were able to evacuate the wreckage successfully. There were zero fatalities and zero injuries reported following the event.
Findings
The aircraft sustained damage so extensive that it was deemed a total loss. Following the accident, the airframe was stripped of usable components to be used for spare parts in future maintenance operations.
