What happened
During a scheduled training flight, an aircraft went down in the ocean a few hundred meters away from Oki Island. The incident occurred while the aircraft was engaged in instructional maneuvers. Following the impact with the water, rescue operations were initiated to locate those on board.
Of the individuals on the aircraft, 10 fatalities were confirmed. The rescue efforts successfully located and recovered two crew members from the site of the crash.
