What happened
During an approach to an airstrip located in Cerro San Simón, a twin-engine airplane struck the ground and crashed into a nearby field. The aircraft was performing a flight on behalf of a local mining enterprise at the time of the accident. The impact caused the total destruction of the airframe.
All five occupants on board the aircraft sustained injuries during the event. Among the group, two individuals were reported to have suffered serious injuries. There were no fatalities reported following the crash.
