What happened
A cargo flight departing from Tarakan for Binuang ended in a crash after the aircraft struck trees while navigating a mountainous region. The aircraft was performing a supply mission, transporting 583 kilograms of food supplies at the time of the accident. During the flight, the plane collided with vegetation on a slope within the Long Liku area.
Emergency responders reached the wreckage site the day after the impact. The accident resulted in one fatality and one injury. The crew consisted of two members: the flight engineer, who was killed, and the pilot, who sustained injuries. The single-engine airplane was completely destroyed upon impact.
