Accident Overview
A single-engine airplane departed Campinas-Campo de Amarais-Prefeito Francisco Amaral Airport for a flight to Belo Horizonte-Pampulha-Carlos Drummond de Andrade Airport. Shortly after takeoff, the pilot turned east and reportedly encountered adverse weather conditions. The aircraft subsequently entered an uncontrolled descent, leading to an in-flight breakup during which it lost a wing. The wreckage came to rest in a prairie less than 3 km south of Itapeva.
