What happened
During a routine crop-spraying operation, the flight crew encountered an unforeseen emergency. In an attempt to manage the situation, the pilot-in-command directed the aircraft toward a dirt track situated between the settlements of Kumushkino and Botanichnoye. The aircraft subsequently performed a crash-landing on this unpaved surface.
Despite the impact, both occupants of the aircraft managed to exit the wreckage without sustaining any injuries. The incident resulted in zero fatalities and zero injuries. However, the impact caused significant damage to the airframe, rendering the aircraft a total loss.
Findings
Investigations conducted by Ukrainian authorities following the incident highlighted significant regulatory discrepancies. It was determined that the aircraft was being operated without the necessary Certificate of Airworthiness or a Certificate of Registration. The lack of required legal documentation was a primary finding regarding the operational status of the flight.
