What happened
Upon completing its landing sequence at Calabar Airport, the aircraft encountered operational difficulties while attempting to decelerate on the runway. The vessel was unable to come to a complete stop within the designated runway limits, leading to an overrun. The aircraft traveled several dozen meters past the end of the runway before finally coming to a halt.
Findings
While the incident resulted in no fatalities or injuries, the impact and subsequent excursion caused extensive damage to the airframe. The structural damage sustained during the event was so severe that the aircraft was declared a total loss, rendered beyond repair.
