Incident

Shortly after departing from Calvi-Sainte Catherine Airport, a military aircraft flying to Solenzara Airbase encountered an unexpected situation. The crew initiated an emergency landing, but the aircraft crash landed on a steep mountain slope near Occhiatana, approximately 12 kilometers from Calvi. The wreckage was discovered at an altitude of 1,300 meters close to the Bocca di Battaglia Plateau.
