What happened
During the final approach phase to Mozdok Air Base, the flight crew encountered severe weather conditions characterized by heavy snowfall. While attempting to land, the aircraft impacted the ground approximately 450 meters before reaching the runway threshold.
As a result of the impact, the airframe sustained damage that rendered it a total loss. Despite the severity of the crash, there were zero fatalities and no injuries were reported among the occupants.
