Abu Dhabi investor weighing bid for Atlas Air Worldwide, report says

L'imad Holding of Abu Dhabi is considering an offer for US cargo operator Atlas Air Worldwide, with a possible valuation of about $10 billion, according to a Bloomberg report. Atlas Air has been owned since March 2023 by an investor group led by Apollo Global.

L'imad Holding, an investment firm based in Abu Dhabi, is weighing an offer for Atlas Air Worldwide Holdings, according to a Bloomberg report citing people familiar with the matter. The report was published on 17 September 2026. A deal could value the air freight group at roughly $10 billion.

Atlas Air Worldwide has belonged to an investor group led by Apollo Global since March 2023. That group took over the company at an enterprise value of $5.2 billion.

Reports of a possible sale emerged as early as December 2025.

The group includes Atlas Air, Polar Air Cargo and the aircraft lessor Titan Aviation. Atlas recently ordered 20 Airbus A350 F freighters, the report said.
