AerCap raises $1.5bn through two bond issues
The aircraft leasing group AerCap has placed two bond tranches totalling $1.5 billion on the capital market, with proceeds earmarked partly for buying and financing aircraft.

AerCap has placed two bonds worth a combined 1.5 billion US dollars, about 1.3 billion euros, the leasing group said. Each tranche is 750 million dollars, roughly 640 million euros.
One bond matures in 2030 with a 5.5 percent interest rate. The other runs to 2033 and pays 5.875 percent.
AerCap said it intends to use the net proceeds for purposes including the acquisition and financing of aircraft and the refinancing of existing liabilities. The bonds are guaranteed by AerCap and several subsidiaries.
