ST Engineering wins two-year exclusive CFM56-7B engine maintenance deal for Hebei Airlines
ST Engineering will exclusively service CFM56-7B engines powering Hebei Airlines' Boeing 737-800 fleet for two years, covering 14 engines starting September 2026.
ST Engineering has secured a two-year exclusive agreement to maintain CFM56-7B engines operated by China's Hebei Airlines. The contract covers performance restoration shop visits for 14 engines fitted to the airline's Boeing 737-800 aircraft.
Work is scheduled to begin in September 2026 at ST Engineering's facility in Xiamen, China, which has capacity for both the CFM56-7B and CFM56-5B.
The company pointed to sustained demand for CFM56 maintenance, noting that airlines are keeping their narrowbody fleets in service longer amid high utilisation rates. ST Engineering is also expanding its capacity for the next generation of engines, the Leap.
The deal grants ST Engineering exclusive rights to the Hebei Airlines CFM56-7B work for the two-year period.
