Air Astana to launch twice-weekly Almaty–Tokyo Narita service

Air Astana plans a direct link between Almaty and Tokyo Narita, with the first flight set for 30 November, subject to regulatory approval.

Air Astana is adding a direct service between Almaty and Tokyo Narita. The first flight to Japan is scheduled for 30 November.

The route is to be flown twice a week with an Airbus A321LR, pending regulatory approval. Departures from Almaty are planned for Mondays and Thursdays, with the return legs on Tuesdays and Fridays.

Flight time is given as seven and a half hours eastbound, and nine hours and 25 minutes in the other direction.

Under Air Astana's existing partnership with Japan Airlines, the new connection will also be sold as a codeshare.
