Air Cairo is close to ordering about 15 more Airbus A320neo family aircraft, Bloomberg reported. A deal could be finalized this week and would include options for 15 additional jets.
The airline, majority-owned by Egyptair, has been growing its fleet quickly. It took delivery of its 19th Airbus A320neo on August 20, which brought the total fleet to 40 aircraft. Four more A320neos are expected in the coming months. Air Cairo plans to double its fleet within five years.
