Etihad to Start Abu Dhabi–Red Sea Flights in October

Etihad Airways is adding Red Sea International Airport (RSI) in Saudi Arabia to its network. The new route from Abu Dhabi begins on 4 October 2026.

Service starts with one flight per week, rising to two weekly from 25 October. An Airbus A320 will operate the route, configured with eight business class seats and 150 in economy.

The link gives passengers from Etihad's network a new way to reach the Red Sea coast via Abu Dhabi. RSI serves The Red Sea tourism development on Saudi Arabia's north-western coast.

Etihad becomes the latest international carrier at RSI. flydubai was first, launching Dubai flights in April 2024. Qatar Airways began Doha service in October 2025. Saudia was the first to operate at the airport, with domestic routes from Riyadh and later Jeddah and Dammam.
