Air Canada and United expand cross-border routes for summer 2027
Air Canada and United Airlines are adding nonstop services and capacity between Canada and the United States for the summer 2027 season under their joint transborder business agreement.

Air Canada and United Airlines have announced an expansion of their networks between Canada and the United States for the summer 2027 season. The carriers said the plan adds nonstop flights and more capacity, building on their joint transborder business agreement.
Air Canada will open three new nonstop links from its hubs. Toronto to Louisville begins at the end of April 2027 and moves to daily frequency in May, running until the end of October. Montreal to Indianapolis will operate daily from the start of June through the end of September. Edmonton to Newark is set for four weekly frequencies from the beginning of June, giving passengers access to United's wider connecting network.
Air Canada will also increase capacity between Edmonton and San Francisco, putting the Airbus A220 on the route. The airline described the aircraft as a larger model for that sector.
The schedule lists Toronto-Louisville departures at 14:00 with a 15:35 arrival, and the return at 16:10 arriving 17:37. Montreal-Indianapolis departs at 17:00 and arrives 19:31, with the return leaving at 14:00 and landing at 16:10. Edmonton-Newark departs at 06:00 and arrives 12:23, with the return at 13:20 arriving 16:33.
