Air India and Singapore Airlines are widening the cooperation they agreed in January. From 15 October, travellers can book certain flights between Singapore and eight Indian cities through either carrier's own booking channels.

Until now, a codeshare journey had to be paired with a flight operated by the other airline. The change covers 126 weekly flights between Singapore and Ahmedabad, Bengaluru, Chennai, Delhi, Hyderabad, Kochi, Kolkata and Mumbai.

Frequent flyer benefits are also set to grow. From the second quarter of 2027, members of the Maharaja Club and Kris Flyer programmes will receive expanded reciprocal advantages, according to the two carriers.

The airlines already work together under a codeshare agreement spanning 77 destinations in 27 countries and territories.
