Air New Zealand adds Shanghai–Auckland capacity for Chinese New Year
Air New Zealand is adding three weekly return flights between Shanghai and Auckland over the Chinese New Year period, lifting the route to ten weekly rotations.
Air New Zealand is adding three extra return flights a week between Shanghai and Auckland for Chinese New Year, from 23 January to 20 February 2027. That brings the route to ten weekly rotations. The airline said the extra services add more than 7,000 seats, and that the flights will use Boeing 787 aircraft. Summer capacity on the route will be more than 11 percent above last year's level, according to the carrier.
