American Airlines to add ten gates at Dallas/Fort Worth hub
A new pier at Terminal A at Dallas/Fort Worth is set to open shortly, adding ten gates for American Airlines, which calls the terminal its busiest once the facility opens.
American Airlines is getting ready to expand at Dallas/Fort Worth, its largest hub, where a new pier at Terminal A is due to open shortly. The pier adds ten gates. According to the carrier, Terminal A will then be its busiest terminal at the airport.
The new area will also hold more food and retail outlets, passenger facilities and employee rooms.
The work is part of a multi-year modernisation programme at Dallas/Fort Worth. American Airlines says it is investing several billion US dollars in expanding its most important hub.
