ANA unveils Green Pokémon Jet livery on Boeing 787-9

All Nippon Airways publicly unveiled its latest Pokémon-themed livery on September 18, 2026. The aircraft is a Boeing 787-9 registered JA923A.

The jet, named Green Pokémon Jet, is the second in a three-livery series inspired by the Japanese Pokémon franchise. Following a welcoming event at Tokyo Haneda International Airport, the aircraft departed for Honolulu, Hawaii, on its first commercial flight in the new colours.

The airline has extended the theme to the cabin, with decorative elements and inflight entertainment linked to the franchise.

ANA said the aircraft will operate between Tokyo's two international airports and several destinations in the Asia-Pacific region and North America. Until at least March 2027, the carrier has confirmed services from Haneda to Honolulu, Seattle, Vancouver, Sydney, Manila, Singapore, Delhi, Bangkok, Jakarta and Kuala Lumpur, and from Tokyo Narita to Perth, Singapore, Bangkok, Jakarta and Mumbai.

The Green Pokémon Jet follows the Red Pokémon Jet, a Boeing 787-8 registered JA819A, which has flown Japanese domestic routes since July 29, 2026. A Blue Pokémon Jet, a Boeing 737-800 registered JA56AN, is due to be unveiled towards the end of 2026 and will also serve domestic routes.

The trio of special liveries marks the 30th anniversary of the airline's collaboration with The Pokémon Company.
