Amsterdam Schiphol closes Kaagbaan runway for annual maintenance
Schiphol is shutting its Kaagbaan runway on weekdays from 21 to 29 September for yearly maintenance, with the runway available again over the weekend of 26 and 27 September.

Amsterdam Schiphol is closing the Kaagbaan runway to flight operations on weekdays between 21 and 29 September for its annual maintenance programme. The runway is to remain available over the weekend of 26 and 27 September, according to the airport.
Work during the closure includes checking asphalt and markings and renewing them where needed, inspecting electrical systems and cables, flushing drainage systems, and servicing the runway lighting.
While the Kaagbaan is out of service, traffic is to be shifted to the Zwanenburgbaan, Aalsmeerbaan and Buitenveldertbaan runways. The Schiphol-Oostbaan may also be used, depending on wind and traffic levels.
