Autonomous ground handling equipment in focus at Lisbon GSE Expo

Ground support equipment makers and technology firms are meeting in Lisbon for GSE Expo Europe 2026, with autonomous vehicles and fleet management leading the agenda.

Ground support equipment manufacturers and technology companies are meeting in Lisbon for GSE Expo Europe 2026, where autonomous equipment is one of the main themes. The event runs from 15 to 17 September at FIL Lisbon and includes indoor and outdoor exhibition areas, plus dedicated zones for autonomous GSE, fleet management and equipment demonstrations.

A dedicated Autonomous Zone will host demonstrations and talks on deploying unmanned GSE, aircraft pushback, and digital twins, along with what it takes to run automated equipment on the apron. The programme covers operations as well as vehicles.

Aurrigo, a UK company, is exhibiting, and its Auto-DollyTug autonomous aircraft handling vehicle is scheduled for demonstrations during the event. Aurrigo will also lead a session on the development and deployment of unmanned ground support equipment.

Charlatte Manutention and Navya Mobility are presenting the AT135, which pairs Charlatte's T135 baggage tractor with Navya's autonomous navigation technology. TractEasy is set to discuss the deployment of Level 4 autonomous ground operations.

The agenda reflects a wider shift in the sector toward automation in controlled airport environments.
