Avianca has cut four seasonal North America routes from its winter 2026/27 schedule. The affected services are Cali–Miami, Cali–New York JFK, Cartagena–Miami, and San Salvador–Chicago O'Hare. Most of these flights had been planned for December and January, according to Aero Routes.

From 26 October the airline will also reduce San Salvador–Miami from ten to seven weekly flights. Between San Salvador and Toronto, Avianca will increase service in December and January from seven to ten weekly flights. Originally 14 weekly connections had been planned on that route.
