Avianca will double its Bogotá–Caracas service from 25 October, adding a second daily non-stop flight and bringing the route to 14 weekly frequencies. That is the level the airline flew before earthquakes struck Venezuela on 24 June.

The new flight departs Bogotá at 15:45 and arrives in Caracas at 18:45. The return leg leaves Caracas at 20:10 and reaches Bogotá at 21:05. The existing frequency departs Bogotá at 23:20, arriving in Caracas at 02:25, and returns from Caracas at 04:00, landing in Bogotá at 05:00.

Avianca's other routes to Venezuela are unchanged. Bogotá–Valencia keeps seven weekly frequencies, one flight a day, and Bogotá–Maracaibo remains a daily non-stop service linking the Colombian capital with Zulia state.

According to the airline, the added flights position Bogotá as a connecting point for travellers from Venezuela, feeding into Avianca's wider network across North, Central and South America.
