Gol to suspend Miami, Orlando and Punta Cana flights from February 2027
Gol Linhas Aéreas will drop several international routes to the United States and the Caribbean starting February 2027, citing a sharp rise in fuel costs. The Brazilian carrier says fuel now accounts for roughly 40% of its operating costs.

Gol Linhas Aéreas has confirmed it will suspend several of its international routes to the United States and the Caribbean from February 2027, a move the airline attributes to the financial pressure of higher fuel prices.
Direct services to Miami and Orlando, currently flown from Brasília, Fortaleza and Belém, will be suspended. The carrier will also end its operation between São Paulo-Guarulhos International Airport and Punta Cana in the Dominican Republic.
Gol said it is adjusting its flight programme, which includes both frequency reductions and the definitive suspension of service on certain routes. The airline described network planning as a dynamic and continuous process in commercial aviation, carried out according to its needs.
According to the company, the cost of aviation fuel has doubled over the recent period. Fuel now represents approximately 40% of Gol's total operating costs, the airline said.
No dates beyond the February 2027 start of the suspensions were given, and the carrier did not say whether alternative services would be added on the affected markets.
