Polish Aviation Group plans to launch a dedicated all-cargo operation under a long-term strategy covering 2026 to 2032. The state-owned group holds 30.7% of LOT Polish Airlines and has interests in six Polish aviation businesses.

The strategy calls for diversifying revenue by entering the dedicated all-cargo freight transport segment, with a fleet of freight aircraft planned. No firm timings or further details have been disclosed.

PGL said the cargo plans sit alongside the construction of new cargo terminals by another group unit, LS Airport Services, which it expects to help position Poland as a logistics centre for Central and Eastern Europe.

Deeper operational, capital and technological co-operation among the group's businesses is also targeted. Alongside LOT and LS Airport Services, these include LOT Aircraft Maintenance Services, LS Technics, Polish Aviation Academy and PGL Leasing.

PGL president Radoslaw Stepien called the strategy's approval a key moment for Polish civil aviation and pointed to investment in training, service infrastructure and a cargo fleet.

The group said the cargo move is part of a broader strategic overhaul.
