British Airways has detailed a cabin overhaul for its Airbus A380 fleet that will hand the entire upper deck to business class. The airline says the 106 Club Suite seats will be the largest business class cabin in the world.

Four sections will split the upper deck into smaller cabins, with self-service bars called Club Kitchens and redesigned galleys. The seats have been revised too, with changes to storage and other functions.

The changes go beyond the premium cabin. Seating on the A380 drops 11 percent overall, from 469 to 417. Economy loses the most, falling from 303 seats to 215. Premium economy grows from 55 to 84 seats, business class accounts for 106, and first class has twelve suites.

The remaining three travel classes stay on the main deck. Premium economy passengers will get larger screens and more privacy around the seats.

According to the airline, the redesign is aimed at adding space for premium travellers.
