Delta flight met by police at Washington National after passenger disrupts cabin
An unruly passenger on a Delta Air Lines flight from Atlanta threw trash at other travellers and was escorted off the aircraft by law enforcement after it landed in Washington, D.C.

A Delta Air Lines flight arriving in Washington, D.C. was met by law enforcement on Thursday evening after a passenger disrupted the cabin, according to the airline's flight records and published accounts.
Flight DL832 left Atlanta on Thursday, October 8, headed for Washington National Airport, a sector of roughly ninety minutes. Soon after departure, the individual seated in 2D began throwing trash at nearby passengers.
Crew handled the disturbance and the flight deck contacted authorities on the ground, asking for a security presence at the gate when the aircraft landed. The plane, an Airbus A320, touched down at 7:13 PM EDT without further problems.
Police and airport security were waiting at the gate and removed the passenger from the aircraft after arrival.
The airline has said it applies a zero-tolerance policy to disruptive behaviour on its flights.
The source material gives no further detail on the passenger's identity, whether any charges were filed, or whether the aircraft was delayed by the incident, and nothing in the accounts indicates an injury to other travellers or crew.
