Delta overhauls business class service with new menus and amenity kits

Delta Air Lines is planning its biggest revamp of its Delta One business class offering in nearly 30 years, starting on intercontinental flights from Los Angeles in autumn 2026.

Delta Air Lines has announced the biggest overhaul of its Delta One business class product in nearly 30 years. The changes will appear first in autumn 2026 on intercontinental flights out of Los Angeles, then be rolled out gradually across the international network from the start of 2027.

New menus sit at the centre of the update, including a Wagyu burger and dishes inspired by regional cuisines, along with a revised drinks selection. Passengers will be able to pre-order their main course up to 18 hours before departure. Gluten-free and lighter options will also be offered.

From 3 November, Delta will offer new amenity kits from the Italian fashion brand Missoni. Extra pillows and comfort items will be added on selected flights, and the choice of wines, cocktails and non-alcoholic drinks is to be expanded.

The airline said more than 200 employees were involved in redesigning the onboard service. Delta tested new service procedures and more than 60 pieces of tableware on 36 trial flights.

Delta is also investing in its premium ground offering. By 2028, its fleet of Porsche hybrid vehicles, used for special passenger transfers, is to grow from 40 to 70 cars at 15 airports.
