Delta to add four short-term routes to Orlando for holiday season

Delta Air Lines plans to run four seasonal routes into Orlando International Airport (MCO) for 16 days over the Christmas and New Year period, from December 19 through January 3, 2027, according to the airline's published schedule.

Delta Connection will operate the routes, linking Orlando with Indianapolis International Airport (IND), Kansas City International Airport (MCI), Nashville International Airport (BNA) and Pittsburgh International Airport (PIT).

None of these four cities are Delta hubs. That makes the temporary point-to-point service a targeted addition for leisure demand during the peak holiday travel window, rather than a lasting expansion of the network.

The short operating period points to flights built around a surge in holiday travel to Florida, a common winter-break destination. Once the window closes in early January, the routes are expected to revert to Delta's standard network.
