Edelweiss opens travel-themed hub at Zurich Airport's The Circle

Swiss leisure carrier Edelweiss has opened a public experience space at Zurich Airport, combining travel inspiration, a café and a shop with training facilities.

Edelweiss has opened a new public space called the Edelweiss Hub inside The Circle complex at Zurich Airport. The area covers roughly 300 square metres and is open to travellers and visitors alike, not just passengers.

Inside, the hub has displays meant to inspire travel planning, along with virtual-reality features and a geography quiz. There is also a café and a small shop.

An upper floor holds areas set aside for staff training, assessments and events, according to the airline. That level also has a section for presenting products and customer experience initiatives.

The hub is open Monday through Friday, with extended hours until 8 p.m. on Thursdays. Edelweiss said it plans two open house days, on September 25 and 26, when the public will be invited in to see the space.

The opening adds to the range of airline-branded facilities at Zurich Airport's Circle development, which has grown into a center for retail, hospitality and corporate space tied to aviation companies operating there.
