Condor opens technical training centre in Mörfelden-Walldorf
German carrier Condor has opened a new training facility for aircraft maintenance apprentices, with its first class of trainees starting in August.

Condor has opened a technical training centre in Mörfelden-Walldorf to develop skilled maintenance staff. The facility, called the Condor Technik Training Center, covers close to 1,000 square metres and can take up to 15 apprentices per year.
It includes a practical workshop area with workbenches and machine tools, plus classrooms and common areas for trainees. According to the airline, the first cohort began studies in early August. Twelve trainees are pursuing qualifications as aircraft mechanics specialising in maintenance technology.
Condor said it plans to expand the programme from 2027 onward, adding training in manufacturing technology as well as a new track for avionics technicians. The airline described the investment as part of an effort to build its own pipeline of technical talent rather than rely solely on external hiring.
No financial details about the cost of the new centre were disclosed.
