Air France brings La Première first class to Paris-San Francisco route

Air France began offering its La Première first-class product between Paris and San Francisco on Aug. 14, the airline said. The service runs on the route's first daily flight, operated with a Boeing 777-300ER fitted with the suites. A second daily flight on the route uses an Airbus A350-900, which does not carry the La Première cabin.

According to the airline, the fare includes access to a private area within its lounge, a dedicated check-in area, and a personal escort to the aircraft during boarding. Onboard, the suites have a chaise lounge and armchair that convert into a lie-flat bed measuring roughly 6.5 feet. Each suite also comes with a wardrobe, a sliding storage drawer for carry-on bags, a separate shoe compartment, power and wireless charging points, and two 32-inch 4K display screens.

Central suites can be joined using a movable divider, Air France said, letting paired passengers share the space or keep it separate.

With the San Francisco addition, La Première is now available on flights to and from seven U.S. cities. These include Atlanta, Houston, Los Angeles, Miami, New York-JFK, and Washington Dulles. The expansion adds to the airline's long-haul premium offerings on transatlantic routes to the West Coast.
