FAA Approves Manassas for Commercial Passenger Service

Washington Manassas Airport in Virginia has been approved to accommodate commercial passenger airline services. The Federal Aviation Administration granted the airport a Part 139 Airport Operating Certificate on 31 August. The certificate confirms that the airport meets federal safety requirements for airports serving scheduled air carrier operations. The approval positions the airport as a fourth commercial service option for the Washington, DC metropolitan area.
