Gol delays own A330neo debut on Rio-Lisbon route by a month
Gol has pushed back the start of its own Airbus A330-900 service between Rio de Janeiro and Lisbon from mid-January to mid-February 2027, according to current booking data.
Brazilian carrier Gol has postponed the introduction of its own Airbus A330-900 aircraft on the Rio de Janeiro–Lisbon route by roughly a month, according to booking data cited in the report.
The airline had originally planned to begin flying the type on the route from January 16, 2027. That date has now shifted to February 17, 2027.
Until the switch takes place, the route will continue to be served by an Airbus A330-200 operated by Wamos Air under a wet-lease arrangement. The service operates five times per week.
Gol is in the process of acquiring five used A330-900 aircraft that previously flew with Azul. The jets are being leased from Avolon, according to the report. No reason was given for the schedule change.
