Gol to cut routes from February 2027 and end all Florida flights

Brazilian carrier Gol Linhas Aéreas will trim its network sharply from February 2027, citing higher fuel costs, and drop every one of its Florida services.

Boeing 737 (all variants)

Gol Linhas Aéreas says it will cut its route network substantially from February 2027, blaming sharply higher jet fuel prices.

The reductions cover domestic and international flying. All Florida service goes, including Brasília and Fortaleza to Orlando and Brasília and Belém to Miami.

Other international routes being suspended are Rio de Janeiro and Fortaleza to Montevideo, Rio de Janeiro to Asunción, and São Paulo-Guarulhos to Punta Cana. Gol says these are among its longest routes and are flown with Boeing 737 Max 8 aircraft.

Domestic cuts take in São Paulo-Congonhas to Ribeirão Preto and Palmas, Brasília to Goiânia, and Fortaleza to Foz do Iguaçu. Salvador, Aracaju, Cuiabá, Porto Velho and Petrolina are among the other cities affected.

The airline gives the development of fuel costs as its reason.
