Graz Airport commissions new Rosenbauer Panther fire truck

Graz Airport has officially put a new Rosenbauer Panther 6x6 firefighting vehicle into service, after delivery on 26 May and subsequent crew training.

The airport fire brigade at Graz Airport has put a new Rosenbauer Panther 6x6 extinguishing vehicle into service. Designated FLF 3, the vehicle was taken over on 26 May. Firefighters have been training on it since then.

The Panther has 700 horsepower and can extinguish fires while driving. Its pump delivers up to 8000 litres of water per minute. The water tank holds 12,500 litres, plus 1500 litres of foam concentrate. The roof-mounted water cannon has a throw range of up to 100 metres.

In an alarm, the airport fire brigade must be able to reach any point of the runway system within three minutes.
