Istanbul Aviation Forum set for April 2027

The Istanbul Aviation Forum will bring airlines, airports, MRO firms, manufacturers and lessors together on 27 and 28 April 2027 for two days of panel discussions on industry challenges and future technology.

The Istanbul Aviation Forum will take place on 27 and 28 April 2027. It brings together representatives from airlines, airports, maintenance and repair organisations, manufacturers, leasing companies and other service providers. Ten panel discussions are planned, covering digitalisation at carriers and airports, artificial intelligence in operational work, and new maintenance technologies.

Engine maintenance, spare parts availability and limited repair capacity are also on the agenda.

Some sessions look further ahead. One panel examines how air traffic might develop beyond 2040, including new aircraft technologies, alternative propulsion, automation and changing passenger expectations. Airport infrastructure is another theme, with discussion of additional capacity, automation and smart-airport technologies.

The programme also covers the passenger experience and a growing shortage of skilled staff, including how the industry can recruit, train and retain qualified employees over the long term. Safety and regulation round out the agenda.
