Ryanair is adding Tirana and winter service to Agadir from Cologne/Bonn, part of a wider shift in its German network that includes cuts in Berlin and Hamburg and a full withdrawal from Bremen next summer.

Ryanair is adding two destinations to its winter schedule at Cologne/Bonn Airport, according to the airport's chief executive, Thilo Schmid, who announced the move on Friday, October 9.

Tirana becomes a new link from Cologne/Bonn, with up to five weekly flights in the winter timetable. The Albanian capital will be served directly from October 25 for the first time, with a flight time of about two and a half hours.

Agadir, previously a summer-only destination, will also be served in winter. Flights begin on October 26 and operate on Mondays and Fridays, two times a week. The flight time is around four hours.

Schmid said the airport welcomes Ryanair strengthening its commitment there and offering passengers two additional winter destinations.

The additions come as Ryanair adjusts its German footprint in other markets. The carrier is cutting capacity in Berlin and Hamburg this winter and will leave Bremen entirely next summer. Cologne/Bonn is among the airports where it is expanding instead.
