Japan Airlines becomes sponsorship partner of Japan's ski federation

Japan Airlines has entered into a partnership agreement with the Ski Association of Japan, becoming what the airline calls a Royal Partner of the federation.

Under the arrangement, the carrier says it will help young skiers travel to training camps and competitions, drawing on its domestic and international route network. The airline also plans to offer transport solutions for bulky sports equipment used by athletes.

Japan Airlines already employs three active athletes from Nordic combined skiing. According to the airline, Hiromu Yachi joined the company as both staff member and athlete in 2023, while Yuna Kasai and Haruka Kasai followed in April 2026.

Alongside the federation, the airline said it intends to promote Japanese winter sports regions jointly, with the aim of boosting tourism to those areas.
