JetBlue to open second BlueHouse lounge at Boston Logan

JetBlue is set to open its second BlueHouse lounge this week at Boston Logan International Airport, the airline said. The 12,000-square-foot space in Terminal C opens to eligible customers early Thursday morning.

It's JetBlue's second lounge under the BlueHouse name, following the first one that debuted at New York's JFK airport late last year. The brand is the carrier's first move into airport lounges, an area it had avoided as part of its lower-cost operating model.

The Boston location will have a central bar, dining rooms, a game room and a quiet workspace styled after the Boston Public Library, JetBlue said. Design touches include a wood-slatted ceiling described as "Nantucket Blue," copper accents and lighting inspired by the city's old street lamps. The game room will include sports memorabilia contributed by local partners, reflecting Boston's sporting culture.

Food and drink are meant to reflect the region. Roast beef sliders and crab and shrimp rolls are planned for the menu. Cocktails will be developed by a Boston bartender, alongside coffee, craft beer and sweets sourced from local vendors, according to the airline.

JetBlue also said it would broaden lounge access. Instead of limiting entry to certain loyalty tiers as before, all customers flying on Mint or Mint Flex fares will now be able to use the lounge.
