RwandAir intends to take delivery of four more Airbus A330-200s within the current financial year, the carrier's chief commercial officer, Reuben Mbonye, said in comments to the portal Aero Time.

The plan follows the arrival of an A330-200 on 24 August, the first of five additional long-haul aircraft the airline has earmarked.

A larger fleet is meant to support route growth. The airline is focusing on new destinations in Europe and the Far East, though Mbonye did not name specific cities.

RwandAir is also leaning more on partnerships. In June it signed a codeshare and interline agreement with Egyptair, and it has deepened its cooperation with Qatar Airways.
