Southwest Airlines is expanding its schedule at Austin-Bergstrom International Airport with seven new connections, the airport announced Friday.

Three are international: Nassau in the Bahamas, Punta Cana in the Dominican Republic and Liberia in Costa Rica. Those services begin June 3, 2027, operating twice a week on Saturdays and Sundays until Aug. 2. The four domestic additions are Savannah, Georgia; Bozeman, Montana; Sarasota, Florida; and Knoxville, Tennessee. Apart from Savannah, all the new routes will be seasonal and weekend-only. The airport said no start dates have been set for the domestic services.

Savannah will be the only commercial air link between the two cities, according to the airport.

Southwest also intends to restore daily flights between Austin and Portland, Oregon.

Airport CEO Ghizlane Badawi said the additions widen the region's connections and give business and leisure passengers more choices, and thanked the carrier for its continued investment in Austin and Central Texas.

Winter service to Puerto Vallarta, Mexico, and San Juan, Puerto Rico, will also return, the airport said. A previously announced route to San José, Costa Rica, is due to begin March 13, 2027.
