Stuttgart Airport has moved its Smart Lane for security screening from Terminal 2 to Terminal 1. Passengers using the lane in its new location also benefit from the new CT scanners, the airport said.

The Smart Lane lets travellers reserve a fixed time slot for security checks at no charge. A name, flight number and email address are required. Bookings can be made through the airport's website from 72 hours up to three hours before departure.

The reservation is then checked automatically at the boarding pass control of the separately signposted Smart Lane track in Terminal 1.
