Two catering buildings planned at Poland's new central airport
Designs for two inflight catering facilities have been commissioned for Poland's planned Central Communication Port, with the airport targeted to open in 2032.
Poland's planned new central airport will get two buildings dedicated to supplying aircraft, according to the design contract now in place. The facilities are to sit directly next to the airport's operational area and will be used by two independent catering providers.
Prepared meals and goods for onboard sales will be stored and handled in the buildings, then readied for delivery to aircraft. No food production of its own is planned at the site.
The Polish firm Projmors ASE Group drew up the designs. The planning contract was signed in October 2025 and is worth more than three million zloty, roughly 688,000 euros gross.
The airport is scheduled to open in 2032. In its first stage of development it is to handle between 34 million and 44 million passengers a year.
