United Airlines has equipped more than 635 aircraft with Starlink satellite internet, according to the carrier. That covers close to half of its daily departures.

More than 250,000 passengers a day fly on the roughly 2,500 Starlink flights, the airline says. Since installation began, over 37.7 million passengers have travelled on more than 538,000 Starlink-equipped flights, according to United.

Retrofits are running at about 20 aircraft a week. United aims to finish equipping its fleet by the end of 2027.

A new online tracker lets travellers check whether their booked flight has Starlink. Queries are possible from three days before departure. The tool accounts for short-notice aircraft swaps. It also shows the progress of the retrofit programme broken down by aircraft type and hub.
